Al has over 10 years head coaching experience in Texas and New Mexico. In 2010 he won the New Mexico class 5A state high school volleyball championship. He was the New Mexico Coach of the year in 2007 and 2010.
Al also served as the Head coach of the New Mexico 5A All-star team in 2009. Under his leadership he has lead his high school team to four State Quarter finals (2006, 2007, 2008, 2010) and two State semifinal appearances (2009, 2010).
As a club volleyball coach he has demonstrated the same success. He has been the head coach of the Wildfire Volleyball club since 2006. He has won 4 consecutive Regional Championships (2007, 2008, 2009, 2010). All four years his team has qualified for the USA National Volleyball Championships. In 2008 his team took 1st place at the Colorado Crossroads National Qualifier and received an automatic bid to the National Championships.
Coach Rosen has produced numerous collegiate players during his tenure as head coach of the Wildfire Volleyball Club.
As well as being a successful head coach, Al was also a successful player. He attended Punahou High in Hawaii where he won back to back state titles. He then continued his volleyball carrier playing at the University of Hawaii for Coach Dave Shoji.
